Front Row Healing is about me, Rowena.

Recovering from intergenerational trauma and colonization.

Explore my journey travelling on Beautiful Country for healing and reconnection. The reconnection came from Truth seeking.

My ancestors Melanesian from Zenadh Kes (Torres Strait), from Mer (Murray Island) the Meriam People. I am a descendant from the Mabo family, Komet Tribe. My Grandfather navigated the sea by using the stars and the moon, he was a part of the Pearling industry (Mother-of-Pearl) Pearl luggers, unfortunately they were exploited for their labour.

Through my photography witness how my eyes see Country, healing me one frame at a time.

Now, I give back to youth & elders who want to reconnect with Country and be a part of Truth Telling and their Healing journey.
